Hi! My name is Sari Ritzkya Deviyani, or Kiki for short. I'm a graphic designer, which is handy since I oversee design at Het Mooiste Leven. I enjoy the whole creative process, from conceptualizing to presenting the finished product.
The first sketch gets my creative juices flowing, and the result fills me with delight and a renewed desire to do it all again. There is something special about helping brands turn their visions to reality. The joy on their faces when they see the output is infectious. It feeds my passion to simutaneously help and excel more.
I've always had a creative bone in my body. Art, design, education, and technology abound in my sandbox. However, my graphic design skills developed and grew when I worked professionally—first, at Red Urban, and later, at Publicis in Amsterdam. I learned the intricacies of User Interface design at Red Urban. I also explored design methodology and principles, and I dabbled with mobile app design and online campaigns. I broadened my portfolio and collaborated with bigger clients after moving to the ad agency Publicis in Amsterdam.
I eventually relocated to the land of schnitzel, bratwurst, and currywurst. In Berlin, I had the terrific opportunity to work at GameDuell. For over two years, I worked in the Product Department as UI Designer/Artist for Mobile and Games. It was here that my creative side thrived the most. I've helped refine GameDuell's graphic vision and digitial branding. I collaborated with the UX team and game designers to conduct user research and evaluate customer feedback.
I learned two things about myself over the years of working and overseeing various aspects of desing: I can fly solo and be an effective team member. I can work independently as a UI artist, graphic designer and art director. I also enjoy the same work ethic when collaborating with other developers, art directors and the UX team.
I draw inspiration from everyone and everywhere. But, definitely, my love for traveling fuels my creativity. Traveling around the globe, experiencing diverse cultures, meeting new people, and learning from them motivates my work.
I enjoy sharing my passion for photography with others, so much so that I sometimes teach my peers online for free and just for fun.
And speaking of fun, I have a lot of it with my dog. We like going on long walks and playing fetch. Being a dog parent is both a source of satisfaction and a full-time job. I do yoga to relax, sometimes with Milly my dog at my side. I also like snowboarding, though Milly not so much.
Oh—and I recently started playing the piano. It's challenging, but so much fun!
